We yearn for the everlasting joy that only resurrection can bring.
From ancient days, mythic stories have sounded the call to seek after what C.S. Lewis named “deeper magic from before the dawn of time.” We take up the long tradition of storytelling with a distinctly contemporary bent: to re-enchant our modern eyes to perceive what the ancients longed to see: miracles that revive the human spirit.

We swim the shallows of popular culture anchored by the depths of the Great Conversation.
Life is an ocean of primordial ideas, and for billions of people with access to the internet, the currents have never been stronger. Yet we fear no riptide. Our anchor drops eternally deep—glad news for those of us still treading water! To our wide western culture showing the telltale signs of fatigue, we throw buoyant stories with hope and grace to spare.

Beauty, Down to the Finishes
We cherish beauty as sacred, and it spurs us to intricacy at every level of our craft.
Society may treat beauty as a commodity, a cheat code to human attention, so efficient at its manufacture that beauty filters are now programmatic features of our phones. But that which literary generations called sublime and transcendent is neither sought nor trusted today, and our ugly online behavior attests to how starved we are to find it again. We, like artists before us, revere beauty as a holy muse and treat it as precious. From the stories we tell to the covers that bind them, every detail of our work reflects our commitment to create things worth beholding.

Deeper Magic unifies us. As a studio, we hold as creed that every one of us shares in the cultivation of great stories, for an echo of the Divine story resonates in each of us. As a publisher, we believe our stories will grow when they leave the nest, taking flight in the hearts and imaginations of parents and children, scholars and students, fans and strangers.
